In the face of opportunities and challenges, where will China's manufacturing go? On December 1, the "2018 Sino-German High-end Manufacturing Summit" opened in Shaoxing, Zhejiang. The summit held three main parallels through the main forum and the sub-forum “Technology Innovation and Cultivation of New Developments in Industrial Development”, “Intelligent Network Linked to Green Transportation”, the 2nd China Internet of Vehicles Application Industry Conference, and the Sino-German Enterprise Matchmaking Conference. Sub-forums and other activities aim to help China transform from a "manufacturing power" to a "smart power", explore new directions and focus for China's high-end manufacturing development, and build a platform for local economic transformation and upgrading.
At present, the scale of China's manufacturing industry continues to expand, and it has become a veritable world manufacturing power. China's manufacturing industry also faces opportunities and challenges: On the one hand, the “Revival” high-speed rail and domestically produced large aircraft have successively become “national business cards”, and the global influence of Chinese manufacturing has been continuously improved. On the other hand, the rise in uncertainty in international relations and the long-term constraints of some high-end technologies have made China's manufacturing industry feel arduous.
In this context, it is of special significance to further promote exchanges and cooperation between China and Germany in manufacturing. Germany is recognized as a manufacturing powerhouse in the world. At present, there are more than 5,000 German companies operating in China. China has long been the largest market outside Germany for Bosch and other German manufacturing companies. In 2017, China became Germany's largest trading partner for the second consecutive year. The trade volume of goods between the two countries was 186.6 billion euros. The bilateral trade volume between the two countries accounted for one-third of the total trade between China and Europe.
Based on this, in order to improve the strength and international influence of “Made in China”, the 2018 Sino-German high-end manufacturing summit was held. On the morning of December 1, the 2018 Sino-German high-end manufacturing summit opened in Shaoxing, Zhejiang. Vice Chairman of the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, former Deputy Chairman of the Central Committee of the Democratic National Construction Association, and Ma Peihua, Vice Chairman of the China Vocational Education Association, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.
Mechanical Engineering Specialist, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Distinguished Professor of Zhejiang University “Seeking Scholars”, Doctoral Supervisor, Director of Mechanical Engineering Department Tan Jianrong; Dean of the School of Computer Science, Karlsruhe University of Technology (KIT), Professor Beigl; Academician of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, Gu Peihua, Chairman of the Design Science and Technology Committee of the International Association of Production Engineering (CIRP); Professor-level Senior Engineer, Honorary Director of the Expert Committee of the China Machinery Industry Federation, and Zhu Sendi, Director of the Intelligent Manufacturing Expert Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology; Academician of the Hamburg Academy of Sciences, University of Hamburg, Germany Professor Zhang Jianwei from the Department of Science and Technology will deliver a keynote speech to contribute to "Chinese and foreign new thinking" for Chinese manufacturing.
As the host, Ma Weiguang, secretary of the CPC Shaoxing Municipal Party Committee, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. The leaders of Shaoxing Municipal People's Government Sheng Yuechun and the Communist Party of China Yuecheng District Party Secretary Jin Xiaoming attended the opening ceremony.
Outside the main forum in the morning, the summit will hold three parallel sub-forums in the afternoon: “Technology Innovation and Cultivation of New Developments of Industry Development” Sub-forum, “Intelligent Network Linked to Green Transportation”, the 2nd China Internet of Vehicles Application Industry Conference, Sino-German Enterprise docking and negotiation special exchange meeting.
On the parallel forum of “Technology Innovation and Cultivation of New Kinetics of Industrial Development”, participants will discuss how to cultivate new and dynamic kinetic energy through technological innovation and respond to global industrial development and changes under the new technological revolution. “Intelligent Network Alliance Empowers Green Transportation” On the second session of the China Mobile Internet Application Industry Conference, representatives from the government, industry associations, and car networking companies will discuss the development trend of the car networking industry. The forum will also hold new energy. The promotion and application of the "Pioneer Cup" award ceremony. The Sino-German Corporate Matchmaking Symposium will promote the exchange and cooperation of relevant projects in the high-end manufacturing sector between China and Germany, and introduce German cooperation resources for local governments to promote project cooperation and landing.
